Frequently Asked Questions

Q: My password is not being accepted when I try to log in. What’s wrong?
A: First, check to see if your CAPS LOCK key is on. Passwords are case sensitive. If this is not the case, it is possible that you have not yet registered your e-mail address and password on this Web site. If this is your first time submitting entries over the Internet, you must register before you can log in and submit entries. To register, click here to complete and submit your registration information.

Q: I forgot my password. What should I do?
A: If you forgot your password, click here to have your password e-mailed to you.

Q: When I try to submit entries, I get transferred back to the Log In page. Why does this happen?
A: Your login session has expired or your security/privacy settings are set too high. Try logging in again. If the problem persists, in Internet Explorer's menu bar at the top, go to Tools --> Internet Options --> click on the Security and Privacy tabs and make sure the slider bars are set to Medium. If all else fails, try using a different computer and/or Web browser.

Q: When I enter my ticket number, I get an error stating that this ticket is not a valid non-winning ticket -- what should I do?
A. First, make sure the ticket you are holding is not a winning Scratch-Off ticket. Next, check that the numbers you are entering exactly match what's on your ticket. Finally, if you've verified both of those and you feel that it is a non-winning ticket for the current Second Chance Drawing game, please fax copies of both sides of the ticket to the Florida Lottery at (850) 488-8049 along with your contact information and a description of the problem.

Q: How do I update my e-mail address or other personal information that I submitted when I registered?
A: First, click on Log In and sign in with your existing e-mail address and password. Then, click on My Account to get to your account information. Make the necessary changes on your information page, then click on the SUBMIT button to save your changes.

Q: Can I enter a drawing more than one time?
A: YES! You may enter a drawing as many times as you wish. Each entry requires the use of a separate qualified non-winning ticket.

Q: How can I see what tickets I have entered?
A: Each time you submit an entry, a record of your entry appears at the bottom of the Ticket Entry screen. All of your entries appear on that list for your information and reference, so you can check the list against the tickets you are holding.

Q: How can I be sure that my Internet entry has been submitted?
A: A record of previously submitted entries shows up on the bottom of the entry page. If the entry record is there, you can be assured that it is in the system.

Q: May I throw away the ticket after I have entered it into a drawing?
A: No, that’s the last thing you want to do! Keep the ticket that you have entered and keep it safe. If you are selected as a winner in a drawing, you will need to present the ticket that made up your winning entry in order to claim your prize.

Q: Can I double my chances to win by entering tickets on the Internet and then mail them in as an entry?
A: No. Internet entries are not eligible to be mailed in. Entries that are submitted through the mail will be disqualified.

Q: Can I mail my tickets in for entry?
A: No, tickets can only be entered via the Florida Lottery Second Chance Drawing Web site.

Q: Can I delete entries that I submit online?
A: Yes, you can delete an entry that you have submitted online, but only before the deadline for the drawing period. In the My Ticket Entries List at the bottom of the Ticket Entry page, click on the entry date and follow the instructions to delete the entry.

Q: Are my entries good for every draw?
A. No, when you enter a ticket, it is included in the next scheduled draw.

Q: How do I find out if I have been selected as a winner?
A: Winners' names and hometowns are posted on the second chance drawing Web site following the validation of winners approximately ten (10) days after each drawing.

Q: How are the second chance drawing winners selected?
A: Winners are randomly selected from all Internet entries received for each drawing. Drawings are held according to established Lottery procedures.

Q: What are my chances of winning a prize in a second chance drawing?
A: The odds of winning will vary based on the total number of entries received for a drawing.

Q: What should I do if I encounter a problem on this Web site?
A: Send an e-mail to asklott@flalottery.com to let us know what problem you are experiencing. We will assist you via return e-mail. The more details you can provide about your problem, the better chance we will have of quickly resolving the problem.
